Many of these folded, gift envelopes are labeled in Japanese language and decorated with mizuhiki - colored cords with intricate knot work (ca. 1942). The collection also includes two folding fans.

This is an embroidered bag that was made in a JASC Sewing class. It is blue with a rabbit embroidered on the bag.

Japanese flag and a gold ball for the top of a flag pole. The flag would be flown on special occasions in Japan. This flag has no connection with the family in the United States. The family moved back to Japan before WWII when their father died. Children were all U.S. citizens and after the war, they one by one moved back after their mother died.
